ABOUT
Let us start by stating that we are a small company, and we have no desire to mass produce our products, ever. We aim to deliver our clients the highest quality putters & headcovers available anywhere in the world, and at the highest level of service. We will likely only serve 100 clients in 2023, but we are thrilled with the knowledge that those few clients will receive a product that will leave them ecstatic & in awe. While we may grow our operation in an effort to serve more clients, we will never sacrifice quality for quantity, that is our guarantee.
At the forefront of delivering the finest products is maintaining the highest level of quality control. We achieve this by keeping all aspects of the process in-house, from beginning to end. We have to purchase raw materials, whether it be steel or fabrics, but from that point forward we handle every aspect of the manufacturing process. Married to that is our commitment to excellence in all aspects of the company, whether it be design, materials selection, finish work, or any of the other countless details we cover over the course of creation. We simply just don’t rest until the product is as good as it can possibly be, and we never settle for “that is good enough”.
We understand that our products will not be for everyone due to their cost, and we are fine with that. Our clients are the type of people that cherish quality, class, service, and uniqueness, and who realize that those qualities come with a cost. But all our clients have been, and will continue to be, absolutely thrilled with what they receive for the price they pay. And that will be a playable piece of art that is unique to them, and that will not be outdone by anyone else.
*A note on pricing: We don’t quote prices on our website, as custom putters can vary. But currently, customs start at $2500.
If you are the type of person who will get tired of hearing “OH MY GOD, what is that, where did you get it??”, then our products are probably not for you. If you will enjoy hearing this every time you play, and will look forward to telling the story of your customization journey, then let us know how we can help you.
PUTTER DESIGNS
We currently offer four distinct putter designs, each heavily modifiable to achieve aesthetics, weight, toe hang, and lie/loft requests. The Classic Astronaut is a classic rounded, Anser style putter, which we find suits most players. The Astronaut Blade is a sleeker, non-cavity blade putter that has more of a vintage look to it. Our Tri-sole model has sharper lines and, well, a tri-sole! Our mid-mallet rounds out our current offering, and comes in full/half/zero offset versions.
STEEL SELECTION
All of our putters are fully annealed surgical-grade 316 stainless steel, although we do offer annealed carbon steel upon request. We don't want to start teaching a Steel 101 class here, but annealing is the process of heating the raw steel above the critical temperature but below the melting point (which for 316 is around 2,000 degF), holding it there for a particular length of time, and then cooling at a specified rate. This is a time consuming process, but one that restructures the grain of the steel, removing impurities and makes it softer. This is how the Samurai made such high quality swords. To our knowledge, we are the only putter company in the world that offers putters in 316 stainless. And while we're the only company that anneals our steel as a standard, we are not aware of many companies that even offer it as an option. We have found that this annealed 316 results in remarkable feel & feedback on the greens, and our clientele would agree. As with everything, this process is performed & managed in-house. The result is the softest, purest putter you have ever felt.
FYI, most putter companies mill 303 stainless, as it is cheaper (lower quality) and easier to work with (you can make more putters in the same amount of time). Not us.
INLAY MATERIALS
We offer a myriad of inlay materials for all our putter models. Our inlay materials range from a 5-alloy mix of titanium/zirconium, damascus, fossilized mammoth tusk & molar, stones, stabilized woods, coral, fordite, meteor, and many many other options to suit your taste.
FINISHES
We offer many types of finishes on our putters. Lustrous raw stainless, polished stainless, black, any shade of bronze, even blues & purples. Regardless of the type, you will be blown away by the quality of the surface finish when you receive your putter. It will be free of steps, imperfections, and it will glow with luster. Our finishes continually cause our clients' jaws to hit the floor. You will be pleased.
PAINT FILL
We take pride in the fact that we rarely use stock paint colors, as we prefer to mix custom paint colors for every putter, for both transluscent and solid colors. We challenge you to find this type of customization anywhere else.
SHAFT & GRIP
We offer all stepless, over-hosel shafts in polished black & brushed black, all from KBS. We are also partnered with LA Golf Shafts & BGT, and stock their shafts as an upgrade option on our putters. Our grips are custom, hand-stitched genuine cabretta leather, made right here in the USA. All our grips are pistol grips, currently available in black, red, and soft blue. We also stock SuperStroke grips, and are happy to install any grip at request.
HEADCOVERS
We almost feel like our headcovers should have a website of their own, as we take just as much pride in our headcover game as we do in our putters. We don’t send out our headcovers for fabrication; they are all made in-house, which allows us to alter & customize designs quite easily. We offer 30+ different synthetic exterior headcover fabrics, as well as various leathers, all of which are highly wear-resistant and will last you for years and years. Interior fabrics range from micro-suede to custom canvas to faux fur. All our headcovers are clasped with neodymium magnets.
Needless to say, our headcovers are certainly eye-catching. Our selected fabrics tend to be lustrous and have an ultra high-end look to them. We embrace the fact that the headcover game is nearly as important as the putter game itself, which is why we will send you a headcover that you will love just as much as your putter.
